Dr. Michael Coffer
Dr. Coffer has been a practicing small animal veterinarian for 36 years. After graduating from
Colorado
State
University at
Fort Collins in 1974, e served a one year internship in medicine and surgery at the
Animal
Medical
Center in
New York City which is the largest animal hospital in the
United States. After that intensive experience, he returned to his home in
Phoenix where he became he owner of
Madison
Animal
Hospital as a sole practitioner for 26 years. In 1981 and again in 1989 he achieved status as a Diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. This board certification was active for 20 years. After he and his wife Becky moved to
Prescott, he accepted a position at
Bradshaw
Mountain
Animal
Hospital in September 2009. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Coffer has taken a special interest in internal medical diseases of dogs and cats. This is both very challenging and gratifying when therapy is effective. His goal as a veterinarian is to employ the most current medical knowledge and expertise in helping owners to adequately understand and make informed decisions about the health care of their beloved pets.
